I am hollowed out by the middle of the week. I had one piece of good news today (which will be enough for tomorrow, too) — the rest was all headache. Coffee is slowly becoming a habit again — one in the late morning or mid-afternoon, another before class. I think I see dark half-circles under my eyes (but maybe it’s just the ethereal morning light). Sometimes I eat Sun Chips or white chocolate & macadamia nut cookies, trying to fill myself out before the weekend, but tonight Nellie McKay’s new album was enough, every song, getting better every time I listen to it, restoring my sense of humour. I do The Zombie (rar rar rar rar rar).
